Hara, bamboo intimates made from bamboo lyocell

While travelling in India, founder Allie Cameron, was first faced with the environmental impact that the fashion industry is having on the planet. From the chemical runoff to the enormous amount of plastic use, she saw very quickly that things needed to change in order for the Earth to sustain its environment. HARA officially started November 2016 to create create a solution to the problems – a clothing label where design meets sustainability. HARA underwear is made in Australia from bamboo, a fibre that contains a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal bio-agent which is retained through the fabrication process and even after washing many, many times. This property makes all their products odour-resistant. The bamboo fabric is also extremely hypo-allergenic which is great for eczema sufferers and those with sensitive skin. The products are made from bamboo lyocell and do not undergo any chemical treatment, unlike is the case for bamboo viscose.
